Pricing Structure for a 3D Print Enquiry
Here’s a breakdown of a typical pricing structure used in the response to a 3D printing enquiry.
This kind of structure helps us to remain transparent and professional, and gives you, the customer
a clear idea of what youre paying for.
Material Cost
PLA: $0.3/gram, PETG: $0.4/gram
-Calculated based on the estimated weight/volume of the object
Print Time Cost
$5 - $10/hour, depending on external factors. ( this is a hard calculation since, in 3D printing and everything
being customized. A better approach to this calculation would be for you to contact us so we can run a
simulation at our end. There is no fee attached to the simulation from our end since we have been doing this for
so long, we can do this in minutes. Our simulation will give us the total time to print to completion and the
amount of filament required coupled with total cost in that area.)
Setup & Preparation
A Slicing fee of between $5 - $15 is added which covers time to prepare the file, orientate part/s and slice.
Design/Modification Work
We charge a fee of between $20 - $50/hour for Full Customization and Designwork to create your 3D Model.
Post - Processing (Optional)
Post Processing is part of our service and we dont charge for that as it’s already inbuilt to the cost. However,
there are many aspects to look at in the “post processing” category of things. When we go further into detail
and taking the model to the next level, we are talking about sanding, priming and painting. A good starting base
cost is $10 - $50+ depending on the level you want to go
